We don't believe in labels... Or do we?
We’ve spent 2015 in product development with our denim and avoiding impatience has been trying to say the least. This week we were able to sneak a peek at our labels and we couldn’t be more excited. With the Kickstarter just over a month away we can’t wait to get our denim out in the world. It’s the little things ( like the labels) that remind us why we started this journey. We are more ready than ever to start this adventure.
Product testing at such great heights!
Last month we decided to take the first samples of our denim to The Chief in BC for the Highline Festival. It was epic, to say the least.
We were fortunate to meet and hang with Spencer Seabrooke and the Slacklife BC group and a couple of them were nice enough to try our denim while slacklining. The general reaction: Where can I get a pair? – That’s what we like to hear!
Our pockets, it's a trap!
Aside from being super stretchy, our denim is equipped with what we like to call “trap pockets”. As climbers, we know that there are plenty of times where you may find yourself in an upside down situation - and because of that we decided to give one of our pockets a zipper. Simple, right? This way you can secure your valuables (think phone, wallet and keys) while you take on that V5.
We have been going back and forth on the right zipper and today we got it just right. Just in time, as we are sending these to the designer to make sure these get into our final product before we launch the Kickstarter campaign.
Ready. Set. Stretch!
We got the first samples of our women’s material in yesterday and we took them straight to The Hive in North Vancouver to try them out! We were lucky enough to find a killer climber (and a great sport) to try them out for us and we couldn’t be more excited. Take a look at how much stretch is happening…
We went with the highest stretch retainment in the industry and we are stoked to report that even after an intense climb our denim maintained the original fit. To really put them to the test, we had our co-founder Brad try them on. Keep in mind that these are women’s size 24/0 and he still managed to get into them just fine. Couples who wear Boulder Denim together stay together, right?
Now that we’ve settled on the right materials we are working with different fits, wash options and the actual design. Make sure to keep up with us as we get closer to our Kickstarter with our finished product, just enter your email below!
& if you are in the North Vancouver area make sure to check out The Hive. They are brand new to the area and provide an awesome climbing experience.
Until next time….
