Kelsey Brasseur
Kelsey Brasseur | Sandpoint, ID & The UT Desert
What she's known for:
I love trad. Especially desert sandstone and big, bad wall-in-a-day style ascents. New routes and adventure climbing also get me excited...so the next few years will be jam-packed with exploration in the desert and the mountains.
Most importantly, I love dark chocolate. The really, really dark stuff.
Her story:
I started climbing in college in the Lake Superior region, where bolts were few and far between and gear was king. If I wanted to climb, I had to climb on gear. Since that time I've branched out into sport with the help of some rowdy, limestone-loving partners, but plugging cams will always be my first love.
I've recently gotten psyched on sending several ultra-inspiring hard lines in Indian Creek UT, and after doing a one-day ascent of BC's Mount Slesse in fall 2015, will be adding a few more big alpine objectives to my list for 2016. Stay tuned!
