What she's known for:
I am primarily known for my ultimate psych for the mountains and all things rock. I am also known for my booming laugh that seems to take over any crag I arrive at.
I discovered climbing at a pivotal moment in my life. In 2012, a Sophomore in college at ASU, I was filling out applications to transfer when my family encouraged me to join the ASU Outdoors Club. There, I was introduced to climbing and the vast outdoors Arizona offered.
I love climbing for the places it takes me, the people I meet, and the challenge of pushing oneself mentally and physically further.
I have climbed in countries such as Australia, Thailand, Canada, and Chile - but the Eastside in California is my home and favorite crag.
I love mountains, cragging, bouldering, big walls, trad lines - anything. I consider myself to be a climber - not a “trad” climber, not a “sport” climber - just a climber.
I have climbed 5.12 trad lines, 5.12 sport lines, and V8 boulders. My goals for the future include pushing these grades even higher, in all aspects of climbing, and pursuing harder lines in the mountains.
I also plan to continue climbing up until I am 102, wandering the Sierra, scrambling up peaks and soaking in the beauty of the mountains.
Words she lives by:
"Don't forget to bring a watch. You'll need it to wake up on time, and also to play 'the watch game' during bivvies. Here's how to play. One guy asks, 'How long do you think it has been?' The other climber answers. The answer is always wrong." -Mark Twight
"The only way to deal with an unfree world is to become so absolutely free that your existence is an act of rebellion." - Camus
